Ultratest Combines Quality and Speed
Proco’s Ultratest Leaktester sets a new standard for quality control, ensuring the highest level of confidence for you and your customers.
Ultratest uses state-of-the-art technology to produce the highest quality of leak detecting while maximizing throughput. Depending on the shape and size, containers can be tested in excess of 120 containers per minute using a single head. Higher rates can be achieved with multiple heads. Other features such as self calibration, leak calibration, self testing, manual testing, sensitivity adjustment, eye level controls, hand-wheel height adjustments, and optional conveyor configurations all add-up to make the Ultratest the most versatile system available.
High Speed Testing
The Ultratest utilizes the very latest in control technology to maximize cycle time without sacrificing test quality. Cycles of 120 containers per minute can be achieved
using just one test head. Multiple heads are available, providing even higher throughput and a wider range of test applications.
Quality Assurance
Leak testing every container before it is used or delivered ensures that only high quality containers reach the end-user. Proco Ultratest provides that quality by
accurately testing each container and periodically self-testing the system’s calibration. It will instantly alert quality control personnel should any deviation be detected.
Easy Set-up
The system is extremely easy to set-up. Once the test head height is adjusted and the photo eyes are set, the system calibrates itself with just a few containers. Unlike
other systems Ultratest accurately calibrates the full cycle. It then simulates a leak, calibrating the leak portion of the test cycle and narrowing the test window
to the most sensitive range possible. A manual sensitivity adjustment is also provided for those special situations that require technician input.
Eye Level Controls
The eye level control console is fixed in the same position regardless of conveyor height. This ensures easy access to the controls for set-up and monitoring. The control
panel can be swiveled, allowing viewing from both sides. A Manual Test push-button, conveniently situated in the console, allows quality control personnel to periodically
check the system for test integrity. A clear polycarbonate door with a key lock allows unobstructed observation, while preventing tampering.
Portability
Ultratest is fitted with caster wheels and screw type leveling pads. It can be moved easily from one location to another within your manufacturing facility.
Multiple Test Heads
Ultratest can handle a wide range of test situations with just one head. However, for those situations that exceed the single head capacity, the system can be supplied
with up to three test heads. Each test head has a totally independent test system. Test heads can be easily interchanged and can also be supplied with probes to detect choked
necks. A variety of seal materials are also available to suit almost any situation.
Conveyor Options
The standard Ultratest Leaktester is supplied with a belt conveyor (normally 4” wide x 54” long). A single operator can easily adjust the height from approximately
18” to 54” by means of the hand-wheel provided. The conveyor stops after each cycle to provide stability during the leak-test. Speed can be adjusted via the variable speed
drive motor. Ultratest can be supplied with a vacuum conveyor or many other conveyor options to suit a variety of production situations.
Components
All of the components used in the Ultratest are available off-the-shelf in North America. No proprietary controls are used. The control system utilizes proven and
reliable technology that most technicians are familiar with and understand.
